we took real customer reviews and used them as voiceovers for a short video. This time, the entire process was AI-driven: storyboard, videoboard, and final visual assets all created with AI.
Before committing to production, we tested two things: whether we could achieve visual consistency and whether the animation quality would be satisfying.
For static visuals, we kept the character’s features simple, a single-line mouth able to convey multiple expressions without unnecessary complexity. The style was intentionally “imperfect,” with added noise or blur to help characters blend into backgrounds.
For motion, we followed a classic animation approach, separating layers rather than animating parts of a single image. This gave us precise control over each element before combining them back into a single scene.
Editing remained fully manual, from selecting sound effects to adding music, but it brought the piece to life. The result carried a nostalgic charm, reminiscent of old animated films, blending modern AI tools with an old-world style. More than anything, the project showed us where we are now and the creative possibilities ahead.
