39 Minutes & 35 Seconds

Inspired by the lives of NASA researchers, who live on planet Earth and work on Mars. These researchers must be in sync with the activity of the robots, and therefore with the time on Mars.

Due to a number of factors that affect the length of the day, the day on Mars is 40 minutes longer than an Earth day. More precisely, 39 minutes and 35 seconds. In other words, if one day you arrive to work at 8AM, the next day 40 minutes later at 8:40AM, the next day, 40 minutes later at 9:20AM, the next day at 10:00AM. You keep moving forward 40 minutes every day, until you finally get to work in the middle of the night - in the middle of the night on Earth.

This interface is a 2D interpretation of a future installation, which function as a double-sided clock, of Earth and Mars. Allowing the viewer, a person on planet earth, to be in both places at the same time.
